Josie and the Pussycats are a fictitious rock band created by Dan DeCarlo.

They have been featured in a number of different media since the 1960s:

• a comic book produced by Archie Comics (1963-1982).
• a Saturday morning cartoon series (1970-1972) produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, who also produced a spin-off series (Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space, 1972-1974).
• a short-lived bubblegum pop music group that recorded songs for both the show and a Capitol Records LP in 1970.
• a live-action motion picture, which was released in 2001.

The Pussycats was a norwegian rock band from Tromsø. Their members from 1963 to 1967 was their bassist and vocalist Sverre Kjelsberg their guitarist and vocalist [[Trond Graff their drummer Friedel Brandt their lead guitarist Ottar Aasegg and their keyboardist and vocalist Ingemar Stjärndahl. After a few months in Norway. They went out to Stockholm and was discovered by Sten Ekroth. And the year later they recorded their first album with the title !!Psst !!Psst!!. And in 1965 they recorded their final album with the title !!Mrrr !Mrrr!
