'Meg Cabot (real name: Meggin Cabot, other pseudonyms: Jenny Carroll and Patricia Cabot) was born February 1, 1967 in Bloomington, Indiana). She is a teenage/adult romantic comedy author. She has written and published almost 40 books. She is best known for her New York Times #1 Best-Selling book series The Princess Diaries, which was adapted into "The Princess Diaries" movies by Disney.
She has also written 5 and 2 halves sequels: volume 2 Princess in the Spotlight, volume 3 Princess in Love , volume 4 Princess in Waiting, volume 4.5 Project Princess, volume 5 Princess in Pink, volume 6 princess in Training, volume 6.5 Princess Present,
She has also written the Mediator series, the 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU series, All American Girl, its sequel Ready Or Not, Nicola and the Viscount, Victoria and the Rogue, and Teen Idol, all for teenagers. She also has an adult series including the books Boy meets Girl, The Boy Next Door, and more. She also wrote the screenplay for Disney's Ice Princess.
The 1-800-WHERE-ARE-YOU series has a tv show based on the books called "Missing" on the lifetime channel on saturday nights.
Many of Cabot's books are set in her home state Indiana. She currently lives in Key West, Florida with her husband, Benjamin, and their one-eyed cat, Henrietta.
