Wikipedia-Article "Lisa Germano"

Lisa Germano is a songwriter, singer, and violinist. Her first appearance in recordings was in 1987 as a violinist for John Mellencamp, with whom she also toured. In 1991 she released the album On The Way Down From The Moon Palace on her own label. She signed to Capitol Records and released a single album, Happiness, with them. Dissatisfied with the major-label experience, she signed to 4AD, which re-released Happiness with some alterations. Her first album written for 4AD, Geek the Girl, was well-received critically. After two more albums, 4AD ended her contract. She eventually signed to the label Ineffable, an imprint of ARTISTdirect, with whom she released Lullaby For Liquid Pig in 2002.
