Clarke Isaac Hanson, (born November 17, 1980), is the oldest member of the pop-rock trio Hanson. He shares the spotlight with his two younger brothers, Taylor Hanson (born March 14, 1983) and Zac Hanson (born October 22, 1985). Isaac plays the guitar, piano, mandolin, and bass. While playing live he prefers: Gibson Les Paul electric guitars (with Ernie Ball RPS 11’s), Taylor Model 810 acoustic guitar,Matchless DC 30 and Marshall “Blues Breaker".
He often serves as the voice of Hanson, being the voice most frequently heard on the "Hanson Hotline", an authorized recorded phone message left for fans. He's known among his fans for having a good sense of humor, and for being the most accessible of his brothers. Isaac is probably the most technically-proficient of the three, often seen videotaping his fans and the band's activities.
After splitting with the record label Island Def Jam, they founded their own record label, 3 Car Garage (3CG). With the release of their independent album Underneath, they became the best-selling independent artists in 2004.
