Blade (played by Snipes) must decide whether to join with the vampires, his sworn enemies, in order to combat an even more fearsome enemy: the Reapers, a strain of mutant vampires with insatiable bloodlust and the ability feed on both humans and vampires. The Reapers have a sickly appearence resembling that of Count Orlock from Nosferatu and leech-like jaws. The movie introduces new characters including a new sidekick (Scud) and a group of Blade hunting vampires called the "bloodpack". Many people including critics have said that the sequel is superior to the original, a rare exception to the "inferior sequels" trend. The 2 disc DVD features a number of interesting features on the making of the film as well as some "easter eggs".
