Crash Twinsanity (2004) is one of the newer Crash Bandicoot games.
Story
In this game, Crash has to team up with the evil Dr. Neo Cortex, in order to stop the evil twins, who are two twin parrots named Victor and Moritz. When Cortex was younger (8 years old), he created the evolvo-ray, and tested it on the twins. However, the Evolvo-Ray was still in a testing phase, and instead of mutating Victor and Moritz, it warped them to the obscure 10th dimension, which is our dimension's exact opposite. The severe radioactive conditions there sharpened their skills, and warped their fragile egg-shell minds. The now self-called Evil Twins manage to return to our dimension, with plans of destroying Cortex and N. Sanity Island. Crash reluctantly pairs up with the doctor to stop the twins, and along the way, they join up with Nina Cortex, Dr. Cortex's bionically enhanced niece. All 3 set off into the 10th dimension, where whatever is good is evil, and vice versa.
New characters
- Madam Amberley runs The Academy of Evil and is a stern headmistress. She is also the seventh boss of the game. She mocks Cortex when they meet again but the former student has the last laugh by pushing his former headmistress into the acidic slime in the organ room.
- Rusty Walrus is the ship's cook on N.Gin's battleship, always hungry for fresh meat. He supposedly went down with the ship.
- The Evil Twins, Victor and Moritz, were once Cortex's pets until they were sent to the tenth dimension. Now they return to seek revenge against their former master. You can only tell them apart at the end of the game when Cortex yells their names and points at them. Victor is the smarter, more serious of the two, and Moritz is the dumber, less foucesed of the two.
- Farmer Earnest owns a wumpa tree farm on N. Sanity Island. He offers a power crystal to Crash and Cortex if they rid him of his worms. Cortex shoots him, then takes the crystal.
- Evil Crash lives in the 10th Dimension, which means he's Crash Bandicoot's evil counterpart.
- Nina Cortex is Dr. Cortex's niece and is a goth. She also has extendable hands. Gameplay control switches to her in the Rooftop Rampage level and phase 1 of the Final Boss Battle.

Soundtrack
The background soundtrack of Crash Twinsanity, which usually will be remembered by many players for its unusual rhythm, was done by Spiralmouth, a contemporary a cappella band from the US. The entire soundtrack has little or no dependence on musical instruments, most of it being done by the group's vocal talents.
