Riley Smith (born on April 12, 1978 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is an American actor. He was discovered at a local mall in his hometown by a local talent scout to fly to New York City to compete at the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention. This decision changed his life. Riley was signed on to a Tommy Hilfiger modeling campaign. He used the money he earned to pay for his acting classes. Three months later, Riley flew to Los Angeles to do a screen test for the 1998 WB pilot Minor Threat. He landed his first audition and soon moved to Los Angeles. The pilot did not succeed. Despite of that, he has gone on to do five primetime network pilots, more than a dozen guest-starring roles, and three series. He was on the show called Eight Legged Freaks, played Les in Not Another Teen Movie, Johnny Clay, Radio starring Ed Harris and Cuba Gooding Jr., and the love interest of Ashley Olsen in New York Minute.
