Ōkami (大神 in Japanese) is a cel-shaded video game developed by Clover Studio that will be coming to the PlayStation 2 video game console in spring 2006. Ōkami's main character is the Shinto sun goddess named Amaterasu, who's taken the form of a white wolf. The name of the game is a pun; the word ōkami in Japanese (狼) means "wolf", however the characters used in the title of this game, while pronounced the same, mean "great deity". The same characters are also used to write the full name of the goddess - Amaterasu-ō-mi-kami.
