Nouvelle Star is a reality television show based on the popular British show Pop Idol. The show is a contest to determine the best young singer in the Francophonie. Known as A La Recherche De La Nouvelle Star during it's first season, and featured auditions in France, Belgium, and Canada (specifically Quebec). Later seasons dropped Quebec from the audition tour.
