Film classics including Some Like it Hot and Breakfast at Tiffany's are set to return to the big screen as part of a two-year project to bring the movies to a new generation of cinema-goers.

Filmed plays aren't movies. They're filmed plays. Any adaptation of a stage vehicle is bound to suffer from a lack of movement, or dialogue that's so full of well-timed enlightenment it sounds like the writer's greatest hits instead of real people conversing.
