Curry College, formerly called the School of Elocution, is a mostly undergraduate liberal arts college located in Milton, Massachusetts, 7 miles from Boston, though Curry was originally located on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue. The campus is partly comprised of the former Joan of Arc Academy. The main Curry campus in Milton is joined other Curry owned campuses in Plymouth, Worcester, two classroom locations at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, and the Medford Police Academy in Medford.
The school was founded in 1879 by Anna Baright. She was later joined and married by the school's namesake, Samuel Silas Curry, in 1882. Telephone inventor, Alexander Graham Bell, was the school's first chancellor.

In addition to its undergraduate programs, Curry offers M. A. in Criminal Justice and Master of Education degrees, and a graduate certificiate in Educational Therapy. Curry also offers a large dedicated Nursing program.

Curry operates a radio station, with 2, 172 watt antennas, under the callsign of WMLN on 91.5 FM. The Curry College Communication department also maintains a student run tv station on channel 8 schoolwide.
Curry offers a large dedicated nursing program that allows undergraduates to earn a bachelor degree in nursing. In addition, the required courses include clinicals at local hospitals. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Curry nursing program is also approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Board of Registration in Nursing.
Curry College operates a Program for Advancement of Learning, coined PAL. Currently 12% of the students in Curry College attend the program. PAL is a set of classes and teachers that help students with language-based dissabilities, such as dyslexia. A Student and his/her selected teacher meets one on one weekly to help with studies, organization and doubling as an academic advisor. PAL teachers are also a vital link between the student and his/her academic teachers.
Curry College's athletic teams are nicknamed the "Colonels". The ice hockey team plays at the Max Ulin Hockey Rink. The Colonel football team, coached by former New England Patriots football player, Steve Nelson, is a three time New England Football Conference champion and NCAA Tournament Participant.
The campus is devided into two sections. The north side dorm is the "dry side" as there is no alcohol allowed on it. The south side is appropriately termed, "wet side", as alcohol is allowed as long as the drinkers are 21 or over.
This dorm was just recently opened on the north side at the beginning of the fall, 2005 semester. 886 dorm is co-ed and was built in the Spring and Summer of 2005. 886 is comprised of 3 floors with elevator access. The dorm is partitioned into pods, 2 pods for every floor. Each pod holds 2 kitchen/study/tv rooms and 4 bathrooms. The first floor holds a 50" screen TV for students, and is often used as a space for club meetings such as the Video Game Society. The school bookstore is located in this dorm.
One of the newer north side dorms named, "North Campus Residence Hall" It is shaped like a "+" and is comprised of 3 co-ed floors with elevator access. Each floor holds a kitchen and a study room. On the first floor a pool table is located next to the laundry room. NCRH is the largest dorm on the north side of campus.
State House is a 4 floor brick building on the north campus.
Mayflower is a 4 floor dorm on the north side of the campus.
Scholars is 4 floor dorm on the north side of campus that is open to all students.
Lombard is a 4 floor dorm located on the north side of campus
Rose Hall is a small 24 hour quiet house on the north side that houses up to 17 undergraduates.
The North Hall is a small co-ed dorm located on the north side.
Main house is a large mansion attached to the P.A.L. building for upperclassmen to live. It is currently the oldest part of the campus.
White house is an all girls house located on the south side of campus.
The Cottege is an all boy's house located on the south part of campus.
