Endicott College is a co-educational independent college located in Beverly, Massachusetts, 32 kilometers north of Boston, the college ‘capital’ of the world. The college is on a 210-acre oceanfront campus and grants Master and Bachelor degrees combining liberal and professional arts.
Thirty-seven buildings include the recently renovated Halle Library, the Wax Academic Center, Art Center and Callahan Center. The Post Sports Science and Fitness Center includes state of the art classrooms for sports related degrees. The multi-plex athletic facility with a synthetic turf field opened in August 2003 and is home to the soccer, lacrosse and football teams. Twenty residence halls range in architectural styles from Victorian mansions to modern townhouses and apartments. Over 1,350 students reside on campus. All residence halls provide voice, video and data access. The student population of 1700 includes approximately 7% international students from 37 countries, primarily Asia, Middle East, Latin America and Europe. The College is very active visiting over 100 international schools every year. The College accepts A level work, French Baccalaureate (marks of 10 to 20), German Abitur (minimum mark 7) Italian and Swiss Maturita, and IB Higher Level Exams (grades 5, 6, 7) to be considered as transfer credit.
Academic offerings include advertising, athletic training, business administration, communications, computer science, creative arts therapy, criminal justice, elementary and early childhood education, English, entrepreneurial studies, environmental studies, financial management, global studies, graphic design/visual communications, hospitality and travel management, history, human services, journalism studies, law and government, liberal studies, management, marketing, nursing, physical education teacher licensure, psychology, and sport management. Internships are required in all majors. The centerpiece of an Endicott education remains a practical approach to learning including hands-on experience that offers professional experience and academic credit allowance. The student to faculty ratio is 16:1. On campus academic laboratories include nursing and technology, a $1 million communication center, radio, television and art studios. The Hospitality and Tourism Administration program runs a top-level gourmet restaurant, La Chanterelle.
Activities and 30 clubs include: Endicott Review (literary magazine), Cheerleading Team, Chorus, Dance Team, Sailing Club, Ice Hockey, intramural sports, and International Club. A member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference and the New England Football Conference, Endicott’s NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams for men and women include equestrian, soccer, field hockey, golf, tennis, American football, baseball, basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, softball, and volleyball. The application review process is competitive for all applicants.
