Knot may refer to:

  • knot (speed) – a unit of speed equaling 1 nautical mile per hour (1.15 statute mph, or 1.852 km/h) But only through a medium such as air or water and not a speed over the ground. For example if a ship is doing 3 knots against a 3 knot current, the speed will register as 6 knots on the ships log, however, the vessel will not be making any speed over the ground.
