Larache (also Laraish, El Araish) is a port city located in northern Morocco on the Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of 107,371 (2004 census). Nearby are the ruins of a Phoenician settlement, that later became a Roman colony. Larache was owned by Spain from 1610-1689.
