Lääne-Viru County (est: Lääne-Viru maakond), or Lääne-Virumaa, is one of 15 counties of Estonia. It is situated in northern Estonia, on the south coast of Gulf of Finland, and borders Ida-Viru County to the east, Jõgeva County to the south, Järva and Harju Counties to the west.

In prehistoric times was settled by Estonians of Vironian tribe.
The County Government (est: Maakonnavalitsus) is led by Governor (est: maavanem), who is appointed by the Republican Government. Since 2004 the Governor position is taken by Urmas Tamm.
The county is subdivided into municipalities. There are 2 urban municipalities (est: linnad - towns) and 13 rural municipalities (est: vallad - communes) in Lääne-Viru County.
