Morgan Paul Ensberg (born August 26, 1975 in Redondo Beach, California) is a third baseman in Major League Baseball who has played his entire career with the Houston Astros. He bats and throws right-handed. In Spring Training of 2000, Ensberg and 4 teammates were in their hotel room when two gunmen burst in. Aaron Miles, who is now with Colorado, was in the next room and wrestled one of the gunmen to the ground before the other one fled.
Ensberg has been enjoying a stellar 2005 season, and is among the league leaders in home runs. Batting clean-up for the Astros, his bat and glove are invaluable to the team. His teammate, shortstop Adam Everett, is his best friend on the team.
Ensberg attended the University of Southern California with current Astros teammate Jason Lane. While attending USC, Ensberg joined the Phi Delta Theta fraternity
Ensberg was named to the National League All-Star team at the last minute in 2005, replacing the injured Scott Rolen (Cardinals). As of 8/1/05 is a lifetime .280 hitter.
